Abstract

The natural composite have beenemerged as potential reinforcement material for composites and that is why many researchers are been attracted towards natural fibers. Naturalfiber offers many benefits such as low density, renewablein nature, biodegradable, low costand harmlessto environment whencompared with the hybrid fibers, which arealso emerging asa promising material due to theirvarious applicationslikefire insulation, resistanceto moisture, superior strength, electricalinsulation. In this projectKenaf, Glass and Jute fibers are compounded with epoxy resin(LY 556)and hardner (HY 951). The fibers are soaked insodium hydroxide with 5 wt% concentration for 24 hours at room temperature and fabricated byusing hand lay-up process.According to the ASTM standards, thefabricated laminates are cut intodifferent sectionsand various mechanical properties such as tensile test, compression test, and water absorption arediscussedand analyzed
