Air cooled blast furnace slag (ACBFS), Fly ash, Compressive strength,, Flexural strengthAbstract
Resources are depleting day by day due to non consumptive use by the mankind. Blast furnace slag has a great potential as it can be used as an artificial aggregate. Keeping this in view, the present study the present study encourages the utilization of waste material such as air cooled blast furnace slag (ACBFS) and fly ash in concrete. The combined effect of ACBFS as replacement for coarse aggregates and fly ash as a partial replacement of cement on the compressive and flexural strength of concrete has been investigated.
